January is the beginning of a short season for Blood Oranges. With a Dark-Crimson flesh, a rind with a bright red blush and subtle notes of raspberry, it makes a great addition to many cocktails. The distinct flavor blends well as both the sweet and sour component of a cocktail recipe. This take on a whiskey cocktail can be enjoyed whenever Blood Oranges are in season.

11/2 oz Ottis Webber Wheat Whiskey
1 oz Cointreau
1 oz Fresh Blood Orange Juice
Blood Orange Wheel for Garnish

Add all ingredients to a shaker tin. Fill with ice & shake until tin is cold to touch. Double strain into a martini glass. Garnish with Blood Orange Wheel.

2 oz Distiller’s Choice Dry Gin
1/2 oz Cointreau
11/2 oz Fresh Grapefruit Juice
1/2 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
1/2 oz Simple Syrup
2 Dashes of Fee Bros Grapefruit Bitters

For a “divine” grapefruit cocktail, begin with a clean shaker tin.  Add all ingredients, then fill tin with ice.  Shake vigorously and strain into a chilled coupe or martini glass.  Garnish with Grapefruit Twist.

Sunday Delight

Oregon Spirit Sunday Delight Cocktail

1 1/2 oz Merrylegs Genever
1 1/2 oz Pink Grapefruit Juice
1⁄2 oz Pom Pomegranate Juice
1 oz Lavender Simple Syrup
Dash of Orange Bitters
Sprig Of Mint

Put all ingredients into shaker filled with ice and shake well.
Strain into prepared glass. Garnish with sprig of mint.

Spirited Mule

Oregon Spirir Mule Cocktail

  • 2 oz Oregon Spirit Vodka
  • 1/4 oz Lime Juice
  • Ginger Brew
  • Lime Wedge

Fill rocks glass with ice.
Add Oregon Spirit Vodka, Lime Juice and Ginger Brew.
Garnish with a lime wedge.

The Joker

  • 1 oz C.W. Irwin Bourbon
  • 1/2 oz Wild Card Absinthe
  • 1 oz Sweet Vermouth
  • 1⁄2 oz Simple Syrup
  • 2 oz Lime Juice

Put all ingredients into shaker filled with ice and shake well.
Strain into rocks glass filled with ice.
Garnish with orange wedge.
