Czech Sidecar

Czech Sidecar

1½ oz Distiller’s Choice Slivovitz
1 oz lemon
1 oz lime
½ oz simple syrup
Sugar, cinnamon and clove for rim

Try our new Distiller’s Choice Slivovitz! Traditionally made in Central and Eastern Europe, we created our own version of this fine plum brandy using fresh plum juice from the Willamette Valley. Slivovitz is traditionally served straight but is also excellent for use in both hot and cold cocktails, especially during the holidays. To make the Czech Sidecar, add all ingredients into shaker tin with ice and shake until cold to the touch. Strain into a chilled martini glass rimmed with a mix of sugar, cinnamon and clove. Add lemon or lime wedge for garnish.

Incognito Mojito

Incognito Mojito

1½ oz C.W. Irwin Bourbon
¾ oz Simple Syrup
¾ oz Lime Juice
Club Soda
2-3 Fresh Mint Sprigs
Lime Wedge for garnish

Remove only the mint leaves from two of the mint sprigs. Begin by adding only mint to the bottom of a shaker tin. Gently muddle mint without breaking it up too much. Now add lime juice, simple syrup and ice. Give the ingredients a 15-20 second shake. Strain over fresh ice into a highball glass. Top with club soda water and garnish with remaining mint sprig and lime wedge.

Here is a great play on the classic mojito. As the temperatures increase outside, it’s nice to have a few options to mix up for patio sipping or for guests. This cocktail shines bright, as the flavor of the C.W. Irwin Bourbon is still present with a touch of mint and lime.

Kirschwasser originated in Germany & can be served neat or with certain cocktails to add a wonderful cherry profile. Kirschwasser is colorless, as it is not aged in wood, therefore it is also referred to as Eau de Vie, which translates to “water of life.” Over 600 pounds of local cherries went into the distillation of our Oregon Spirit Distillers’ Kirschwasser, giving it a wonderful cherry flavor and a delicate finish.

1 oz Kirschwasser
2 oz Dry Vermouth
1 Bar Spoon Cherry Simple

Fill mixing glass with ice. Add all ingredients. Stir gently, and strain into coupe or martini glass. Garnish with fresh rose petal.
